A groundbreaking collaboration between ZQuip and Leica Geosystems has yielded an innovative 8-ton electric excavator prototype, demonstrating the future of emission-free construction equipment. The converted Cat 308 compact excavator showcases ZQuip's revolutionary modular power system featuring hot-swappable battery packs, enabling uninterrupted operation through quick battery exchanges.
Field-tested in France before its debut at Bauma 2024, the prototype combines ZQuip's clean energy conversion technology with Leica's intelligent site management system. The integrated solution provides millimeter-accurate excavation capabilities through real-time 3D positioning data, transforming how operators interact with their equipment and worksites.
