On April 25, 2025, National Equipment Dealers (NED) initiated construction for a new facility in the Savannah, Georgia, area, specifically in Bloomingdale. The new site is set to replace the existing, smaller NED location in Savannah-Richmond Hill and is expected to commence operations in early 2026.

The groundbreaking event was attended by NED's CEO, Zack Kavanaugh, alongside company staff, Bloomingdale city officials, and representatives from key manufacturers such as Hyundai Construction Equipment, Bell Trucks America, and Sakai. Before the ceremony, Kavanaugh spoke about NED's business philosophy, the decision to establish a presence in Bloomingdale, and the contributions of those involved in the project.

NED operates under J.J. Taylor Companies, a family-owned enterprise based in Jupiter, Florida, now in its third generation. The parent company employs around 1,300 people across various subsidiaries, with approximately 450 working for NED, which manages 20 dealerships across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Texas. J.J. Taylor Companies also runs a significant beer distribution operation in Florida.

Kavanaugh emphasized NED's commitment to four core principles: prioritizing employee well-being, delivering exceptional customer service, fostering strong manufacturer partnerships, and actively contributing to the communities it serves. He highlighted that the new Bloomingdale facility will enhance customer service capabilities and support business growth, building on the success of the current Savannah-Richmond Hill team.

The Bloomingdale location, spanning 12,000 square feet, marks NED's first purpose-built dealership. Kavanaugh noted plans to replicate this modern design in other cities across the company's five-state footprint. The facility aims to strengthen ties with equipment manufacturers and boost their market presence while positioning NED as a valuable community partner in Bloomingdale.
