The End Of The Big Mixing Tank? 3-axis Mixer Truck Will Not Exceed 6 Cubic Meters

Mar 08, 2024

At the beginning of this year, the China National Machinery Vehicle Service Center issued the "Notice on Standardizing the Management Requirements of the "Announcement" for Concrete Mixer Trucks", which stipulates the requirements to curb the current pathological development of the mixer truck market. In recent years, the tank capacity of domestic manufacturers has become larger and larger. In today's market, it is quite common for a 6x4 chassis to reach 12 cubic meters, and an 8x4 chassis can reach 16 cubic meters or more. These overloaded mixer trucks are used every day. When driving in the city, the concrete in the tank increases the height of the vehicle's center of gravity. It is not uncommon for mixer trucks to roll over and cause casualties.

Notice on standardizing the management requirements of the "Announcement" for concrete mixer trucks
All relevant automobile manufacturers and testing agencies:
In order to further standardize the management of the "Announcement" for concrete mixer trucks, after research and seeking approval from the Industrial Policy Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the relevant "Announcement" management requirements for concrete mixer trucks are hereby notified as follows:

1. In the "Normative Requirements", the following three technical requirements are added for concrete mixer trucks:
(1) Concrete mixer trucks should comply with the following table:
a. When the drive axle has dual tires on each side of each axle and is equipped with air suspension, 1000kg can be added to this limit.
(2) The filling rate of the mixing drum of the concrete mixer truck should not be less than 51.5% (filling rate definition: the ratio of the stirring capacity of the mixing drum to the geometric capacity, expressed as a percentage).
(3) The stirring capacity of the concrete mixer truck should meet the following requirements:
Stirring capacity ≤ loading mass (kg) / concrete density (kg/m3) × 110%
Note: The concrete density adopts 2400kg/m3 recommended by GB/T 26408-2011 "Concrete Mixer Truck".

2. Management requirements for declaration parameters:
(1) The "mixing volume" parameter in other columns of the original announcement parameters is corrected to the "churning capacity" parameter. The stirring capacity is defined in accordance with GB/T 26408-2011 "Concrete Mixer Transport Truck".
(2) Add the tank geometric capacity, tank installation inclination angle parameter, stirring capacity and tank structure diagram to the filing parameters. The diagram content should include the tank size (such as the total length of the tank, the maximum outer diameter of the tank, the inlet Material opening diameter, etc.), tank material (referring to materials in contact with the medium, including aluminum alloy, stainless steel, carbon steel, non-metal, etc.), tank wall thickness, tank stirring capacity calculation process.

3. Starting from the announcement of batch 269, all relevant production enterprises and testing institutions should carry out new product declaration and testing in accordance with the above requirements.

4. For related products in the "Announcement" that do not meet the above technical requirements, all relevant manufacturers should rectify the products in the announcement before July 1, 2015. Products that do not meet the requirements after the expiration date will be suspended from the announcement.
